MASTER PLAN IN PREPARATION FOR DEVELOPMENT OF ROSSMORE FOREST PARK

A “master plan” for the future development of Monaghan Town’s Rossmore Forest Park is currently in preparation and will be presented to the members of the Monaghan Municipal District at a future meeting.
This was stated at Monday’s meeting of the MD, when the monthly report of Co-ordinator Donal McElwain pointed out that the first meeting of the Rossmore Park stakeholders group was held on December 7. The maintenance and development of the park was identified as one of the MD’s priority future actions in the report, which also stated that works to walking trails at Rossmore were to commence on January 23.
Sinn Féin’s Brian McKenna asked if the MD councillors could have access to the minutes of the stakeholders meeting and some details of the master plan that was being put together.
