Donaghmoyne’s female footballers writ their already fabled name even larger in the annals of Co Monaghan sport last Sunday when they took their fifth All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship title.

Donaghmoyne overcame Dublin side Foxrock/Cabinteely in the title decider at Parnell Park.

The achievement was marked with a vote of congratulations at Monday’s meeting of Monaghan Co Council.
It is understood that plans to hold an official civic reception in the county in the near future to mark t
he club’s fifth All-Ireland are currently in train.
