The annual streets of Monaghan 5K took place on Friday evening last. Paddy Hamilton took the senior prize with a great run in a time of 15.00 minutes. The first Lady across the line was Carrick Aces Ann Linden in 18.41. The junior men’s category was won by Phoenix athlete Sean Husband in an impressive 16.43 with Edel Monaghan from Enniskillen winning the Junior ladies in 19.32. Category winners were Alan Clarke-Blayney Rockets, David O’Connell-Bohermeen, Lorraine McLoughlin-mtr, and Maria McGee. Valuable points were also won in the County distance league where Carrick Aces still lead the way in the club section.
