MONAGHAN ROSE PAMELA ALLEN REFLECTS ON HER JOURNEY THUS FAR

13 August 2016 No Comments by The Northern Standard

From the moment I was chosen as Monaghan Rose on the 14th May time has flown by.

I cannot believe there is only one more sleep before I begin my Rose Tour in Dublin on Friday, 12th August with my rose sisters who I am looking forward to meeting and making lifelong friendships with.

A massive and heartfelt thank you to all my many sponsors — firstly to my uncle Keith Allen Agri, for your encouraging words, help and sponsorship — and to all the other sponsors near and far who have been more than generous in giving sponsorship in preparation for Tralee and my chosen charity Crocus — Cancer Support Group.

A debt of gratitude is also owed to the boutiques in Monaghan, Castleblayney and Carrickmacross for helping me choose lovely outfits and for the refreshing cups of tea provided.

I am overwhelmed by the support from the local community surrounding Ballybay and Monaghan, I truly have been treated like a rose.

Since being chosen as the Monaghan Rose, I have had the opportunity of becoming involved with local organisations.
I am delighted to…
