THRIVE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY’S ‘LEAPS & BOUNDS’ SUMMER CAMP A HUGE SUCCESS

Clones-based business Thrive Occupational Therapy last week ran ‘Leaps & Bounds’ – a specialist therapy-based summer camp for children with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)/ Dyspraxia and motor and movement difficulties.

The first camp of its kind to be held in Monaghan and its surrounding areas, it took place at The Peace Link sports facility in Clones and was developed and led by Eavan McCrudden, Clinical Director of Thrive Occupational Therapy and Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist.

Most of the children who attended camp were from Monaghan, Cavan, and Fermanagh although a few had travelled from Munster to attend. The staff team comprised of three occupational therapists, a physiotherapist, a primary school teacher and students from relevant fields.
