MONAGHAN LADIES PLAYING THEIR PART IN FIGHT AGAINST LITTER

Monaghan Ladies have a tough battle on their hands this weekend when they play Cavan in the Ulster Final, but they took time out this week to call on all Gaels to battle against the scourge of littering on our streets and roads in the county.

Monaghan County Council is extremely excited and proud about getting this endorsement in their fight against litter from a fabulous group of individuals. Chairperson of Monaghan County Council PJ O’Hanlon was on hand this week to present a set of tops that will be worn by the team’s management at this weekend’s match. According to Cllr O’Hanlon, “We know how determined these ladies are on the pitch, if the community could show the same determination in the fight against litter it would be fantastic. Get behind the ladies and get behind the Council in its fight against litter “

Team Captain Laura Mc Enaney said “We as a team are delighted to support the County Council in their efforts, we would call on everybody to play their part and do not litter”

Best of luck to the team on Sunday from everybody in the County!
