  The Blackwater 10k Presentation 2016 took place on June the 20th at Crocus, Monaghan.

  The Blackwater 10k run raised €3000 for charities of its choice in this year’s event. Monaghan Branch Men’s Sheds agreed with Blackwater committee to divide this amount by giving €2000 from this contribution to Crocus Monaghan and €1000 for development of their own very worthy organisation.

  The Blackwater 10k Walk ‘n Run took place on 29th May at Rossmore Park, Monaghan. Over 500 people showed up on a beautiful summer’s day. This fun run family day lived up to all its expectations with the wonderful warm sunshine and pleasant surroundings for a very enjoyable day in the park.

This success is all down to the hard work and dedication of the committee Eamonn Hackett, Geraldine Connolly, Jerome Savage, Malachy McMenamin, Sean Conlon, Paddy Sherry , Paul McGeown, John Hetherington, Peter McKenna, David Maxwell , Michelle Murphy and the Committee members from Monaghan’s Men’s Shed and Crocus Monaghan.

  Thanks to all the volunteers from the Lyon’s Club led by Leslie Goggins who gave up their Saturday for registration in the Shopping centre and all the other Volunteers who give up their Sunday especially, Brendan Buckley and the Monaghan Civil Defence. The volunteer centre in Monaghan organised by Sinead Keenan also provided people for assistance at registration and on the day in the park. David Maxwell was the MC on the day and kept all of the …
