On Wednesday 1st of June, The Carrickroe Welcome Home Festival relaunched their 10k run in memory of the late Kieran McAree. Darren Feely addressed the crown on behalf of the festival committee.

  He said how the committee was honoured to get the opportunity to be part of honoring Kieran while helping other people who are in the same situation as Kieran once was. He asked Camel to say a few words on behalf of SOSAD. She stated how much they rely on sponsorship in order for SOSAD to survive and continue to help people with mental health issues. She thanked the McAree family for their continued support over the last 2 years.

  She also thanked the committee for their contribution. Fr Hubert Martin then said a few words. He hopes that Kieran is looking down on us and that he is at rest. He hopes that the money raised from the run will help many other people dealing with mental health issues.
