The Coyle family, Rackwallace were delighted to hand over a cheque for almost €30,000 to Cavan / Monaghan Palliative Care this week.

As previously reported in The Northern Standard, the family held a charity beard shave and waxing night in Renaghan’s Bar, Clontibret at the end of the November where the ten Coyle brothers – Xavier, Brendan, Trevor, Stephen, Declan, Paul, Niall, Ciaran, Liam and Dermot – who had left their razors aside for the month were defuzzed.

Cavan / Monaghan Palliative Care is a cause that is close to the hearts of the Coyle family as it provided great care and attention to the brothers’ father, Maurice Coyle, in the final weeks of his life. Maurice passed away in March this year.

The family were overwhelmed by the huge level of support shown to their fundraiser and wish to sincerely thank everybody who donated or helped in any way towards the success of it. The total amount raised was €29,013.16.

Gratitude is expressed to those who donated prizes for the raffle and the framed jerseys. Thanks also to the local media, The Northern Standard, Rory Geary and Northern Sound and to the hairdressers and Renaghan’s Bar. The Coyle family would like to wish everybody a peaceful and happy Christmas.
