IT was ‘celebration and jubilation’ as many people from all over counties Monaghan, Cavan, and Louth—as well as the wider border hinterland of the north- east region,   were in attendance at the annual dinner last week of St Dympna’s GFC in Luton. The function was also attended by leading representatives of a number of Irish county groups and other GAA clubs and sporting personalities in the Greater London and Luton area.

It was the Club’s 57th annual dinner and dance, and was held at St. Joseph’s Parish Centre in Luton.

A very special guest on the night was the former GAA President Liam O’Neill. Also in attendance were Lord Bill Mc Kenzie and his wife Diane.

Representatives of the Co. Monaghan Association, who were present,   described the function as “one of the most enjoyable and successful” to be organised by the Irish community in Luton this year.
