The 2014 ten member festival committee consisting of Chairman, George Wright, Secretary, Julie Brannigan, Liam Stirrat, Willie McKenna (RIP), P.J McDermott, Donal Sherry, Darina Moffett, Pat McKenna, Barra Flynn and Peadar McAdam would like to again express their appreciation to all involved in over the festival weekend. A special word of thanks is extended to the festival volunteers, An Garda Síochána, Monaghan County Council and the festival sponsors.

Willie McKenna, RIP

The excitement after another successful four day festival was short lived when the committee and community heard the shocking news that fellow committee member the late Willie McKenna was terminally ill and then with sorrow his untimely death.

The shock and sadness felt by the young committee was a real testament to how tightknit this volunteer group had become. Willie, the gentleman, was eager and willing to share his knowledge and experience with all the members. His natural charm and enthusiasm were contagious and invaluable in any committee or organisation. Willie, may you Rest In Peace as you will be missed.
