Bronagh and Fiona from Specsavers who will take part in the Blackwater 10k
We are now 2 weeks away from the blackwater 10k and this week we are profiling a company who are relevantly new to the event. Specsavers Monaghan came on board at last year’s event and is back on board this year again. Specsavers are hoping to enter a team in this year’s corporate cup Declan, Bronagh &Fiona will be running while Kathleen will walk in the event. Talking to Kathleen she says that being part of the 10k is great for the profile of Specsavers and is a chance to promote a healthy lifestyle. Kathleen informed me that she was involved with eye screening participants at the Special Olympics in Glasgow in 2005 and says they are worthy recipients of this year’s donations. Specsavers would like to wish all involved best of luck in either organising or taking part in the Blackwater 10k.

Monaghan Credit union another main sponsor
Monaghan credit union is back this year as a main sponsor James Mulligan from Monaghan credit union says it is great to be back sponsoring the event this year. This high profile event is a great opportunity for local business to roll in behind a very worthy charity (Special Olympics). James also stated that with up to 1,000 people taking part in the race it will create a great buzz in and around the town of Monaghan and hope the people of Monaghan come out to support the Blackwater 10k.
