GROUNDZERO360: POIGNANT 9/11 PANORAMA ON VIEW IN MARKET HOUSE

‘Poignant’ and ‘powerful’ are just two words to describe the GroundZero360 exhibition that was officially opened by Mayor of Co Monaghan Sean Conlon in the Market House, Monaghan last Thursday evening, 29th August.

Monaghan is the last stop in Ireland for the unique exhibition which will remain in the Market House until 19th October. Those present at the launch included members of the Gardaí, Fire Service and Civil Defence and relations of two Irish victims of 9/11; carpenter Sean Canavan from Co Tyrone and firefighter Kevin O’Rourke whose mother Hannah (née Boylan) hails from Scotstown.  

Dublin-born Nicola McClean was working as a photojournalist in New York for ‘The Irish Voice’ newspaper and ‘Irish America’ magazine at the time of 9/11.
