THOUSANDS ATTEND FUNERAL AS TRIBUTES PAID TO SLAIN GARDA

A CROSS-BORDER gang originally from Dundalk but now based in South Armagh has become the focus of the major investigation into the brutal shooting dead of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe during a robbery at the Lordship Credit Union in Co Louth on Friday evening.

The gang has been responsible for a series of crimes in their surrounding counties, including Monaghan, Cavan, Down, Armagh and Louth.

A €50,000 reward has been offered by the Irish League of Credit Unions for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible, with associates of the gang or others with information urged to contact gardai or phone the confidential line 1800 666 111.
