The Monaghan RehabCare Resource Centre has received a top European quality honour in recognition of the standard of services provided at its Tirkeenan premises.
Staff at the Monaghan centre were recently presented with the European Quality in Social Services award, known as the EQUASS Assurance, which recognises a high standard of quality assurance and quality control in the services it provides.
Peter McKevitt, General Manager of RehabCare – the health and social care division of the Rehab organisation – said at the award presentation that he was delighted to see the centre in Monaghan receive the EQUASS Assurance, which he described as “an independent European stamp of approval, verifying RehabCare’s commitment to best practice”.
“The award is a tribute to our committed and flexible staff,” Mr McKevitt stated, “who each day work to enable the people who attend our services to achieve their goals, whatever they may be – moving into their own home, finding a job, learning how to drive, or even writing a book.”
The General Manager said that the award demonstrated that RehabCare was committed to people and to supporting them in living their lives to the full.
