COOTEHILL’S MICHELLE TURNS HEADS ON VOICE OF IRELAND!

COOTEHILL girl Michelle Cunningham got off to a flying start in ‘The Voice of Ireland’ when she “turned” two of the judges in the first ‘Blind Auditions’ heat — and booked her place in the next round of the flagship RTÉ One competition.
Michelle, who is a primary school teacher now based in Dublin, knew she’d hit the mark thirty seconds into her performance when Bressie’s chair swung around to face her.
About half a minute after that, her take on Emeli Sandé’s ‘Read All About It’ also convinced Westlife’s Kian Egan that it was time to strike the magic red button and become judge number two to face the singer.
Sharon Corr and Jamelia were not swayed, but Michelle had done more than enough in bringing two of the coaches on board before she opted for fellow guitarist Bressie as her mentor. Both Bressie and Kian had disagreed with Sharon Corr’s concern that maybe the nerves had been getting at Michelle.
