ERRIGAL CIARAN AND ST GALL’S SET FOR SEMI FINAL ENCOUNTERS

Errigal Ciarán and St. Gall’s joined Kilcoo in the Ulster Club Senior Football Championship semi-finals in winning last Sunday’s quarter-finals.
Errigal needed a late point from Thomas Canavan to beat Ballinderry in their much-talked-about match at Healy Park.
The Ballygawley side didn’t have Ronan McGuckin on their sideline after he refused to manage against his home club, but despite seeing a three-point first-half lead and a four-point second-half cushion evaporate, Peter Harte drove Errigal on to win by 0-11 to 0-10, with Canavan’s fifth point settling it.

St. Gall’s had it far easier in their 1-15 to 0-9 victory over Tempo from Fermanagh. With no less than 11 players getting on the scoresheet for the Belfast side, including goal-scorer Aodhán Gallagher, they led by 12 at half-time; meaning this result was decided long before the final whistle.
