NEW GARAGE THEATRE WILL BE MAJOR CULTURAL AND SOCIAL RESOURCE, TOWN COUNCIL TOLD

The new €5.2 million Garage Theatre development that will open in January as part of the Monaghan Education Campus initiative at Knockaconny will provide the town and wider county and region with a major cultural and social resource, the members of Monaghan Town Council were told on Monday evening.
A detailed presentation on the new theatre project was put before the authority by Sinn Féin Council member Seán Conlon, a member of the Garage Theatre Board; youth drama scheme worker Barry McSkeane and Theatre Administrator Eileen Costello.
