The PSNI has this week issued an appeal for information on a Northern Ireland man it believes may have been abducted and murdered after crossing the Border into Co Monaghan in November of last year.
PSNI detectives are seeking information on 69-year-old Armagh man Leslie White, who vanished after crossing the Border into Monaghan.
Mr White had been due to face a trial relating to a €200,000 drugs seizure in Co Offaly.
He is also reported as having been linked to a number of investigations into machinery and vehicle thefts.
Mr White had been scalded with hot water by dissident republicans while serving an earlier prison term.
