Angry reaction as HSE dilutes ambulance service

A spokeswoman for the HSE yesterday admitted that the “rapid response vehicle” (RRV) which was deployed to Monaghan following the removal of acute hospital services last year was this week relocated to Castleblayney — so that it can cover the entire north Louth area as well as north Monaghan, following Tuesday’s closure of acute services at the Louth County Hospital in Dundalk.
